Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church)

Baptism for infants is available to registered parents. It is required that parent(s) and godparent(s) attend a pre-Baptism class.

Baptisms are celebrated in English the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Each Baptism must be arranged by appointment only with the parish. Please call for more information.

Baptism for children in school is available through consultation with the director of the CCD (Religious Education) program as well as through Santa Clara Elementary School for their children who need this sacrament.
