"Holy Communion, because by this sacrament we unite ourselves to Christ, who makes us sharers in his Body and Blood to form a single body." (Catechism of the Catholic Church) First Holy Communion is celebrated by children who have reached the age of reason and who have attended preparation through our CCD (Religious Education) programs. Children in Santa Clara Elementary School prepare for the sacrament in their regular religious course of studies. For baptized older children (Junior & Senior High School age), as well as adults, programs are available periodically at the parish.
