St. Vincent De Paul Society

Dedicated to serving the poor, the Santa Clara Parish St. Vincent De Paul Society donates time and money every week in an effort to give comfort and dignity to our sisters and brothers in need.

Each Saturday and Sunday the Society serves a hot meal to those who are hungry in our community. On average, they feed 75 people per day with eight different teams of volunteers.

The Society also runs a thrift store at the Santa Clara Chapel, and works with other charity organizations in the Oxnard area to meet the demands of Jesus Christ who reminds us: "for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.' … 'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." [Mat 25:35-40]

Volunteers are always needed as this is a growing and much needed ministry. Please contact the Parish office if you are interested in supporting, or volunteering.
